Wedding Favor Ideas – Pick the Winning Wedding Favors
Traditionally, the giving of favors at weddings has tended to be a small token of a sugar coated candy. Most often, this would be an almond. Nice as these are, they can become a little boring, and shows a lack of care and attention. There are an unlimited number of wedding favor ideas for you to give at your reception however.
As the shift to anything environmentally conscious grows, many people are electing to give small packets of seeds to their guests. Beautifully packages, these can be fantastic. They can also be in keeping with the theme of your wedding – perhaps giving a small packet of the flowers chosen as your centerpiece, bouquet or buttonholes, for example.
You can always ensure people know you have taken time to think of something appropriate of course, by making the favors yourself. It can be quite easy to achieve a professional look.
Truffles are easy to make, and can be a very naughty treat for your guests. Particularly loaded with alcohol! Whether packaged in a simple cardboard box, or simply in a small clear bag, they will make an impression.
Another simple token to make yourself are candles. These really are easy to make, but it you do not fancy it, some lovely beeswax types can be found at local markets. You can then personalize them with little messages, or simply people’s names.
If you have a little more confidence, perhaps you could also pen a poem, or sketch a little picture too.
Whilst favors can be beautiful, it really does not matter which you decide upon. Indeed, some fantastic weddings have gone ahead with no wedding favors being given! Whichever wedding favor idea you select, it is bound to be taken in the spirit of love and celebration that you have given it on this amazing day.
