Don’t Feel Pressured to Bust Your Budget
Many brides today often feel pressured to spend a great deal of money on their wedding. Unlike what you see on television and read in the magazines, most everyday brides do not actually spend a fortune on their weddings. The cost of the wedding is not the most important factor, your happiness and celebrating your union and your love is much more important.
Therefore, when beginning to plan your wedding, while on a budget, do not stress just follow some of these tips to make your wedding wonderful.
Looking through magazines and wedding guides can give you a great idea of how to plan a wedding and give you lots of ideas for decorating, themes, and other fun things that you can incorporate into your wedding plans. However, do not feel that you have to copy the magazine or guide verbatim, you can always choose what you like and leave the rest.
The guides are especially a good way to find a timeline for getting things done, and to read about the customary traditions and etiquette you may want to follow.
Another good idea is to sit down soon after your engagement with your fiancé and decide together what you both envision this wedding to be. You may find that you have very different ideas, or that you see it the same, you may even find that your fiancé wants you, the bride to do all the planning, and he’ll just show up for the big day.
Once you find out what the case is for you, you can begin making a list of things that are important and then begin pricing those items to see what you can or cannot afford. You will want to prioritize your list in order to decide what should stay and what may have to go if the budget becomes an issue.
Taking all of these factors into account from the beginning will help you to plan a wedding on a budget without stressing out. Remember, this is your day and you want to make it memorable and enjoyable for yourself.
