Fantastic Ideas For Fall Wedding Invitations

Fall can be a fantastic time of the year for weddings, lazy and sultry afternoons, followed by temperate and clear night skies. Beautiful. To really capture the spirit of the season, there are some fantastic ideas for your fall wedding invitations to capture the delights too.

Many great artists have watched in awe as Mother Nature demonstrates her palette each year by turning the rich greens into burning oranges, reds and yellows. Many have captured this well, but nothing can beat the real time show she puts on. These fantastic colors and images can now be added to your invitations, and really set the tone for the wonderful new life you have ahead of you.

As you consider the many options available to you, it can be worth trying some color variations out to see how successful they are. Or perhaps you will take your lead from the flowers or your dress for the big day. With colors as wide ranging as delicate pinks, and blues, to deep reds and browns, your invitations can really stand out.

When considering which paper to use, you can opt to go for something organic that will practically feel like fall in your hand. Or, alternatively, you can use just a simple slip of paper, highlighted with leaves and fall flowers to make a remarkable contrast.

It is also important to set the right atmosphere for the occasion. If you intend to have a formal, evening. Luxurious natural paper, inscribed with bold and elegant calligraphy will be ideal. If you are having a more laid back approach. Go for something with less gravity and a sense of fun.

Also take the time to match your programs, place settings, etc to carry through the theme of the fall wedding invitations. Cost effectiveness and a sense of style can be achieved in this way, whilst getting another job out of the way!

6 Styles Of Unique Wedding Invitations

  1. With recycling being all the rage, why not print your wedding invitations on recycled paper as well? Recycled wedding invitations are made up of a minimum of 30% post-consumer fiber. The recycled material still leaves you with plenty of color and style options. You can be earth friendly while having unique wedding invitations to boot!
  2. You could even go in the opposite direction by having your invites done as magnets. Magnetic invites are simple and convenient for guests. They can display them on their home refrigerators and later keep them as a memento. Magnetic invites are smaller than standard paper invitations which makes them a bit less formal. They have just enough room for the necessary details of your special day. The smaller size of the magnetic invite, in no way compromises the look of the invite. They can be colorful and personal and may also include non-magnetic RSVP’s and reception details.
  3. Transparent and translucent invites are a great way to put a personal touch on your wedding invitations. The invites are layered with translucent paper which can be done in any order you choose. The layers are made up of the wedding and reception details, paired with a personal photograph or verse. The bottom layer is usually done with a photo or paper of your choosing. Each layer is tied together with a colorful ribbon. You even have the option of using translucent paper as your invite envelope or as a wrap.
  4. Choosing a special paper or paper accent is a great way to achieve a unique wedding invitation. The most common way to do so is by embossing your invites. You can emboss any personal image of graphic. Pearlizing your paper will add an elegant touch. You may also add a velvet border or accent to enhance the invites.
  5. A simple way to impress your guests is all in the packaging. Using a self-mailer rather than a plain envelope is great in catching some attention. The self-mailer is a color customized wrap that encloses all of your important wedding information. The color can match your wedding theme, preparing your guests for the feel of your special day.
  6. Changing the simplest detail can make all the difference in creating a unique wedding invitation. Printing your invite photograph in black and white is a classic way to do so. The black and white photo can be inserted in any of the previously mentioned invite styles or one of your own. The black and white photograph is timeless and leaves your guests with a beautiful keepsake.

Be a Smart Bride – learn to delegate

A friend of mine recently told me how stressful she was. She is getting married this summer and starts losing control. She complained that there are so many things need to be done, she has to do all major and minor tasks on her own….and she only has 3 months left….

There are way too many things to keep track of for one person, and the smart bride knows to allow family and friends to help whenever possible. However, some brides just couldn’t trust their family members and friends can do what they exactly want. Relax, here are just a few time-consuming tasks you can delegate assuming that your instructions are clear:-

  • Ask your parents, your future in-laws and the groom to give you 2 guess lists (the 1st list is “Must be Invited” and the 2nd list is “Nice to Include”. Roughly give them the number of guests they can put on the “Must be Invited” list). Bride needs to do her own lists.
  • Ask one person to combine all 4 “Must be Invited” lists into 1 master list.
  • Ask for help when it’s time to assemble the invitations and address the envelopes, and be sure to have them sent out six to eight weeks before the wedding day to give guests enough notice. If some guests couldn’t attend, you can fill those spots from the 2nd list.
  • Once the R.S.V.P. coming in, you can ask one person to enter your final list into the Excel format for you.
  • Ask friends to do research for the things that you need to buy.
  • If you plan to make your own wedding favors, you can always ask help from the family members, bridesmaids and some close friends.
  • Personalized Square Favor Tins Cally Lily Mini Pails” height=
  • Pick up the gowns, tuxedo and other accessories
  • Arrange for lodging and transportation for out-of-town wedding guests
  • Preparing welcome baskets for out-of-town guests

The above are just a few tasks. If you are organized from the start, you should be able to find more minor, but time-consuming tasks to delegate. The more you delegate, the more you can focus on the most important part that makes your wedding truly remarkable.
