A Golf Themed Wedding

A golf themed wedding is a great alternative to the traditional wedding. There are a variety of different ways to go about planning a themed wedding. To begin with, you will want to decide how formal or how casual you would like your wedding to be. After you have made that decision, the rest of the planning will be a lot simpler.

Time to Tee Off -
You will want to begin by reserving a country club on the golf course for your ceremony and reception. Check around with the various golf courses in your area to make sure that you have the best one for your wedding and reception. Many country clubs have a great view of the golf course, which will be ideal for your wedding. If you are unable to book a country club and golf course for your wedding, consider simply having an outdoor wedding, with golf decorations.

What to Wear -
Next, you will need to decide what everyone in the wedding will wear. If you are going for a casual wedding, the entire wedding party could dress is golf attire. If you are going with a more formal wedding, perhaps the groom could wear formal golf attire, from years past. You could also go with the notion that only the men will wear golf attire.

Tee Time -
When planning a golf themed wedding, you may want to consider serving food that has a traditional country club flare. As for a wedding cake, consider ordering a cake that resembles a golf course. The figurines on top of the cake could be two golfers ready to tee off.

Location, Location -
If you are looking to have a golf themed wedding, you will want to have your wedding outdoors. If at all possible, plan to have your wedding ceremony on the greens. The backdrop of the golf course will be a beautiful setting for your ceremony.

Party Favors -
As wedding favors, you could order golf balls with the bride and groom’s name on them and their wedding date. Then, you could pass them out to all of the guests. This will be a great keepsake that will help the guests remember your wedding day for years to come. Another favor idea is to have tiny chocolate golf balls wrapped up in toile and placed on the table. If your budget permits, you could also pay for a round of golf for each guest attending the wedding.

A golf themed wedding is a unique idea that your guests are sure to love. With some simple planning and creative thinking, you are sure to come up with a themed wedding that your guests will not soon forget. Just make sure that when you are planning the wedding you have fun and stick with the overall golf theme.
